Every 4 to 7 years, several renovation processes must be performed to counteract the effects of normal "wear and tear" on the all-weather track. These processes include cleaning the surface, repairing damaged or worn areas, resurfacing, and line striping. Lanes 1 and 2 will probably need repair first, since these lanes are used most often. Because of the complexity of these processes, it's wise to hire contractors who specialize in repairing all-weather tracks.
Cinder tracks need yearly renovation, primarily the adding of new cinders to reestablish the proper grade.
