Baseball & Softball Synthetic Turf Infields

At the baseball & softball fields Galveston opted to only install turf on their infields. We stripped the existing grass and removed the red infield dirt.  After stabilizing the field, we installed a drainage system including a Geomembrane Liner.  The liner was covered with crushed limestone and compacted.  The field was now ready for the turf install.

Competition Football Field & Running Track

At Spoor, we performed the demolition of existing track surface, perimeter fencing, field events and football field. We stabilized the field, installed a sub drainage system, and installed a nailer board. Here we installed a Geotextile AND Geomembrane liner. A crushed limestone was used for the base and finish rock to cover the liner, which was compacted and laser graded. Synthetic turf was then installed. We installed new fencing around perimeter of the track and new track surface and striping.
